Charitable Giving Programs
The LPGA Foundation supports women and young people through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering them through the game of golf. Since its founding, The LPGA Foundation has touched more than 500,000 lives through various scholarship and financial assistance programs, along with its flagship junior golf program, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf. The LPGA Foundation was established in 1991 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which supports junior golf programs, scholarships, and financial assistance programs for women and young ladies.
LPGA-USGA Girls Golf
The LPGA Foundation’s LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (“Girls Golf”) is the only junior golf program for girls ages 6-17 that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments to learn the game of golf. We are the experts in making the game of golf fun, and we teach more than just stance and swing; we teach girls valuable life skills like confidence and perseverance.
The program, founded in 1989 by LPGA Professional, Sandy LaBauve, in Phoenix has grown to over 700 sites around the world serving 220,000 participants annually. In 2023, Girls Golf reached its one-millionth participant since inception. To mark the milestone, the LPGA Foundation launched the #OneMillionMORE girls campaign to show its commitment to impacting the next one million girls by 2030. The engagement campaign will raise funds to reduce financial barriers for junior golf participation helping all girls achieve their #littlegirlsbigdream!

LPGA Leadership Academy
In 2015, the LPGA Foundation began a new, exciting journey, as we introduced a two-day LPGA Leadership Academy to keep teenage girls engaged in golf and prepare them for leadership opportunities.
The LPGA Leadership Academy uses golf as a vehicle to provide a framework for young women to develop their confidence, communication, and leadership skills.
Group exercises, expert led discussions, journaling and interaction with female executives and mentors help girls discover their unique strengths and leadership style.
Forty participants receive a scholarship to participate in this unique event which will be hosted in four markets.
