LPGA Amateurs Continues to Empower Women Through the Women on Par Scholarship

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Women on Par Scholarships, recognizing four remarkable women whose determination, resilience, and commitment to higher education embody the spirit of the program.

Established in 2007, the Women on Par Scholarship provides financial assistance to non-traditional female students, age 30 and older, who are pursuing higher education for the first time, with the intention of helping women get “on par” with their peers through the opportunities a college degree provides. Through the generosity of LPGA Amateurs members, donors, and supporters, the scholarship continues to empower women as they pursue educational opportunities that create lasting change for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Since 2018, the top scholarship prize has grown from $2,000 to $4,000, showcasing the impact and importance of the program.

This year’s recipients represent a diverse group of women united by a common purpose, using education to build brighter futures and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Meet the 2026 Women on Par Scholarship Recipients:

Savannah G. – Tacoma, Washington

Savannah is studying Community Health at Tacoma Community College and received a $4,000 scholarship through Women on Par. Her long-term goal is to create impactful programs and supportive spaces within the housing communities that help individuals overcome trauma and build stable, empowered lives.

Cheryl N. – Grand Rapids, Michigan

Cheryl is pursuing a degree in Social Work at Grand Rapids Community College and was awarded a $2,000 scholarship. She aspires to become a social worker dedicated to supporting mothers and children facing hardship by connecting them with resources, restoring stability, and helping families build stronger futures.

Whitney B. – Lawrenceville, Georgia

Whitney is working toward her Bachelor of Science degree at Georgia Gwinnett College and received a $1,000 toward her education through Women on Par. Her vision is to establish and expand a nonprofit foundation that provides social services, mental health support, and community-based programs that empower struggling mothers and children to achieve lasting stability and success.

Natalia H. – Ontario, CA

Natalia received a $500 scholarship toward her Nursing degree at West Coast University – Ontario. She has the ultimate career goal of becoming a highly skilled nurse, providing compassionate support to patients and families, specifically vulnerable newborns. Her perseverance and commitment to continuing her education reflect the mission of the scholarship program and the opportunities it creates for women pursuing their academic and professional goals.

The impact of the Women on Par Scholarship can be seen not only in the recipients’ educational goals, but also in their reflections on what the support means to them.

Whitney shared, “For me, golf is one of those games that you can absolutely enjoy alone. But it’s always a little bit better when you have the support and the company of others. The Women on Par Scholarship is a reminder that the same is true when it comes to your educational career, said Whitney. “There was something so special about finding out that I have the support, care, compassion, and vote of confidence of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association with me now. It’s going to absolutely push me farther and higher than I ever could’ve imagined I could go, and I am extremely grateful for that.”

“This scholarship has meant so much to me, not just easing the financial burden of getting through nursing school but also reminding me that my story and the work that I am doing matters,” said Natalia. “It gives me one less thing to worry about and lets me focus on being the best nurse I can be. I am currently in my rotation at the medical-surgical nursing unit. I’ve had the chance to use my Spanish interpretation skills to help communicate with patients directly, which is why I want to go into nursing: because I want to be helping people during their most vulnerable moments and be able to communicate in a language that they feel comfortable speaking in. My goal is to be able to work in the ICU when I finish nursing school, and I am looking forward to helping care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. I want to thank the LPGA Amateur Golf Association. This scholarship isn’t just supporting my education; it’s supporting every way I want to give back to my community as a nurse.”

The Women on Par Scholarship is more than financial assistance. It is an investment in women who are determined to transform their lives through education. Since its inception, the program has helped more than 40 women pursue degrees that open doors to new careers, increased financial stability, and opportunities to give back to their communities. More information on the scholarship can be found HERE.

The continued success of the Women on Par Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of LPGA Amateurs members and donors who believe in the power of education to change lives. Support is also generated through the annual LPGA Amateurs Virtual Scramble, which helps fund the Women on Par scholarship and grant. This support ensures that deserving women have the opportunity to pursue their dreams, overcome barriers, and inspire others through their achievements. Contributions to the program can be made HERE.

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association is honored to support each of these extraordinary women as they continue their educational journeys and looks forward to celebrating all they accomplish in the years ahead.

The 2027 Women on Par Scholarship applications will reopen January 2027 and will remain open until 200 completed applications are received or April 15, 2027, of the application year – whichever occurs first.
