LPGA Amateurs Welcomes a Poland Chapter to the Family
The LPGA is excited to welcome the newest addition to the LPGA family, the LPGA Amateurs – Mazovia, Poland Chapter. Local members in Mazovia have partnered with the LPGA Amateurs to form a Chapter of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association. LPGA Amateurs’ vision is to enrich women’s lives through the game of golf and its mission is to connect adults of all skill levels to learn, play, and enjoy golf for business and for fun.
Patricia Kwasniak, President of LPGA Amateurs – Mazovia, Poland took the initiative to create an LPGA Amateurs Chapter, after she found a love for the game and saw how much it helped her in business and in life. “It has changed me and my approach to thinking about doing things right rather than quickly,” Patricia stated. “With my golf game, I stood apart having a clear vision of where I wanted to be and progressing my career to a point where I can afford my golf training.” she added, “I noticed there aren’t enough women who want to play golf. I found my new challenge and desire to end barriers to enter golf was stronger than me.”
Mary-Lee Cobick, VP of the LPGA Foundation shared, “We are thrilled to offer an LPGA Amateurs community for women near Mazovia, Poland. Mazovia, Poland is the first Chapter we’ve welcomed in Europe since we became a part of the LPGA Amateurs family in April of 2018. Expanding LPGA Amateurs’ geographic boundaries enriches the culture and the community of the LPGA Amateurs.” LPGA Amateurs intends to keep expanding abroad and across North America.
The Chapter invites individuals interested in learning, playing, or even just making new connections to join them at an event and consider joining the membership. “We are launching the chapter to assist women who want to learn how to play and have a great time together as diamonds on the green. I am looking forward to bringing some experience of the game to Mazovia, breaking through all stereotypes,” Patricia shared. The Chapter is planning to offer regularly scheduled virtual meetings and training sessions with professionals. The LPGA Amateurs Mazovia, Poland Chapter will also be hosting social events to give members the opportunity to meet each other, network, and widen their circle of connections.
